Full service & fine dining

Great service is a rhythm: seat, order, fire, clear, settle. DineBills keeps the floor, the waiter app and the pass on the same beat, so no table waits and no plate sits under the lamp.

The challenge

Great service gets lost between the table and the pass

In a full-service room, small delays stack up: a waiter walking back to the till, a main fired too early, a table of eight asking for six bills.

01

Too many trips to the till

Waiters write orders on a pad, walk to a terminal and type them in again. Each trip is time away from the floor and a chance for mistakes.

02

Courses out of rhythm

Starters and mains land together, or a main sits under the heat lamp while the table finishes the soup.

03

Splitting the bill

Large tables want to pay by seat, by item or in equal shares. Doing that by hand at the end of a long night means errors and awkward waits.

04

No view of the room

Hosts and managers cannot see which tables are waiting on food, which want the bill and which are ready to seat.

01 · Floor plan

A live map of your dining room

Draw sections and tables in the back office with shapes and seat counts. On the POS, each table shows its status in colour, and open tables are shared between terminals so any server can pick up a check.

  • Sections, table shapes and capacity per table
  • Status: free, occupied, ordered, bill printed, paid
  • Guest count and notes on every check
  • One open check per table, so tables are never double-booked

Take the order at the table

Servers use the DineBills waiter app on iOS or Android phones. Orders go straight to the right kitchen stations, with modifiers, allergies and notes exactly as the guest asked.

  • Same menu, modifiers and deals as the POS
  • Seat numbers and course on every item
  • Hold and fire courses when the table is ready
  • Push alert when food is ready at the pass

  • Service charge and tips with preset percentages
  • Discounts and comps with manager approval

How an order flows

A table, from seating to settled

How a typical dinner service runs on DineBills.

  1. 1

    Seat the guests

Pick a free table (or a reservation), set the guest count.

  2. 2

    Order at the table

The server enters items by seat and course on the waiter app.

  3. 3

    Fire starters

Starters go to the kitchen; mains are held until the table is ready.

  4. 4

    Fire mains

One tap sends the next course to each station.

  5. 5

    Print the bill

The table turns to "bill printed" on every terminal.

  6. 6

    Split and pay

By seat, item or share. The table is free again.

Frequently asked questions

Still curious? Talk to our team.

Can servers take orders on their own phones?

Yes. The DineBills waiter app runs on iOS and Android phones and tablets. You pair each device from the back office, and servers log in with their PIN. Orders go straight to the kitchen with the same routing as the POS.

How do courses and hold-and-fire work?

Each item carries a course (for example starter, main, dessert). You can send starters straight away and hold the mains, then fire them with one tap when the table is ready. The kitchen sees the course on every ticket.

Can a table split the bill by seat?

Yes. Bills can be split by item, by seat, in equal shares or by amount, with service charge and taxes calculated correctly on each part. Every guest can pay by a different method.

Will two servers ever open the same table?

No. Opening a table claims it for one check, and the status updates on every terminal within a second while online. If terminals were offline, the back office flags any clash for the manager when they sync.

Does DineBills handle reservations?

Reservations and a waitlist are part of the platform and link to your floor plan, so hosts can see upcoming bookings alongside live table status.
